who we are

TEACH is a community health education initiative founded by Vivien, a Freedom High School student from Oakley, California, and run by volunteers. We are committed to improving equity in education and health to teens by providing accurate, evidence-based resources.

mission statement

  1. Expand access to evidence-based health resources in our local youth community and beyond to support teens' physical and mental well-being and combat medical misinformation.
  2. Act as health liaisons by using storytelling and narrative medicine to link health, science, and society.
  3. Advocate for students' rights to protect their access education and health resources.
  4. Inspire girls in science by creating a positive and inclusive environment in STEM fields.

Leadership

Vivien - Founder

Vivien is a junior at Freedom High School in California. She is passionate about science and medicine. She founded this initiative after developing medical conditions that impacted her academic and athletic life, inspiring her to support and empower youth in the community. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, baking, going to the gym, watching anime, and surfing.
