who we are

T.E.A.C.H. is a community health education initiative founded by Vivien, a Freedom High School student from Oakley, California, and run by volunteers. We are committed to improving equity in education and health to teens by providing accurate, evidence-based resources.

Our leadership members also serve as the East Contra Costa County Youth Advisory Council and Youth Curriculum Review Team for high school fentanyl awareness education. (AB2429)

mission statement

  1. Expand access to evidence-based health resources in our local youth community and beyond to support teens' physical and mental well-being and combat medical misinformation.
  2. Act as health liaisons by using storytelling and narrative medicine to link health, science, and society.
  3. Advocate for students' rights to protect their access to education and health resources.
  4. Inspire girls in science by creating a positive and inclusive environment in STEM fields.
